Jeff Patton
Journalist, author of Walk a Straight Path in a Crooked World, documentary filmmaker, and an episkopos (elder/bishop/guardian) in the Church of God, Jeff serves presently in the Nanaimo, BC congregation of the Church of God International and throughout the province of BC.
His blog builds upon a foundation of previous writing that focuses on teaching the moral logic of the universe as found in the Judeo-Christian scriptures. There is much confusion today about how to live “happily ever after.” But we don’t want to live our lives based on fairy tales, myths and the politically correct fads of today, but by the wisdom that has been proven and preserved over the last 4,000 years.
There is a need to live today with our feet firmly on the solid rock of truth and our eyes focused on a vision of the world tomorrow.
Josh Patton
Electrical engineer, webmaster, all around tech guy, Jeff’s eldest son and likewise a servant of God, Josh presently serves by managing several websites in his off time. Having grown up in the Churches of God along with frequent moves during his youth followed by formal post secondary training in the field of electrical engineering and the hard sciences has lent to his unique perspectives on the physical universe and its connection to the Creator.
His down to earth view of our physical existence and a ability to learn how things work in addition to a strong spiritual basis grounded in scripture help Josh to live boldly today while focusing on the world tomorrow.

Hi Jeff
When I saw that you had authored a book, I purchased a copy and read the first couple chapters this morning. So far I love the personal stories & humour … In some ways, it is the reflections & personal testimony of a husband, wife & family in their Christian walk — but in other ways it richly quotes wisdom & insights from both scripture and a varied number of others, who have discovered truths along the way. I am eager to read more of “The Straight Path”, and I see in this book many of today’s “Crooked paths” you are speaking out against (with this website & it’s view towards the World Tomorrow). Well done!
